Community Foundation North East has guided effective giving to support causes across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and the wider region since 1988. We inspire philanthropy, invest in communities and influence change to build a thriving, generous and inclusive North East today and for generations to come. Last year we awarded 1169 grants totalling £9.2m to 589 organisations and 93 individuals.

We are supporting the North East Charity Awards because we want to see our communities thrive with fairness and generosity changing lives and helping everyone feel they belong. That means having a strong and vibrant civil society which these awards recognise and celebrate.
